EMSI Announces Addition of New Infrared Camera

Baytown, Texas- July 15, 2008- Today EMSI announced the addition of a second optical gas imaging infrared camera. Due to the growing “green” trends, Emission Monitoring Service, Inc. of Baytown, Texas has taken initiative to aid clients in minimizing gas vapor releases from stationary sources at chemical plants and oil refineries across the state with its main focus on the greater Houston area. The GasFind IR HSX is the newest infrared camera technology manufactured by FLIR Systems. This camera can detect more gas leaks in petrochemical environments faster than the original model. The detectable gas leaks appear as smoke on the optical imaging lens. The HSX contains a High Sensitivity Mode, which helps determine smaller leaks that may not be regulated by the EPA. EMSI is helping clean up Houston’s air pollution and keeping industrial clients in compliance with environmental regulations with the use of the GasFindIR camera. Further benefits include maximizing safety, by keeping a close watch on areas containing volatile organic compounds leaks can be repaired before conditions become dangerous.
